Perhaps you used to play a brass instrument many moons ago or have recently started to learn a brass instrument but would like to play with other musicians in a band setting?

MVSB has a term-time only Training Band that rehearse on a weekly basis at Ashcombe Secondary School, Dorking. They meet on a Monday evening from 5.50pm until 7.10pm and perform three annual term-time concerts for friends and family to showcase their talent. There is the potential to progress from our Training Band into MVSB, which a number of our members have done.

If you are aged 8-100+ would like to regularly rehearse with a friendly and welcoming band and develop your existing musical skill set then this is the band for you!

Our new terms dates for 2025 Autumn term are as follows:

September: 15th, 22nd, 29th 

October: 6th, 13th 

October Half term – No rehearsals on 20th & 27th

November: 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th 

December: 1st
